STEVE, 57

“Seeing Ardynn’s proprietary outcomes data for people like me with the same type of cancer – and having my advocate share insights about it – was a game changer. It helped me make confident treatment decisions and gave me peace of mind.”

Steve's Story

Steve was shocked by a colon cancer diagnosis following a routine colonoscopy. After discovery during surgery that the tumor had progressed more than expected, Steve’s doctor brought up the option of adjuvant chemotherapy. Concerned about the potential side effects of chemotherapy, Steve met with an Ardynn advocate to gain understanding and clarity regarding his prognosis and available options — which ultimately helped Steve make a treatment decision that felt right based on what was most important to him.

JOE, 54

“Ardynn has helped me in so many ways. My advocate’s coaching about how to talk to my children about my cancer in a way that made sense to them was a huge relief to me and my wife – and that was just one topic covered during our first of many meetings.”

Member Story - Joe
Joe’s routine bloodwork shows an elevated PSA score and he is later diagnosed with prostate cancer — particularly shocking given his age. His doctor recommends surgery to remove his prostate, and radiation. Joe is concerned about his prognosis, how treatment will affect his ability to work and other areas of his life, and how to tell his young children. Engaging with an Ardynn advocate helped Joe and his family in all these areas, and brought him tremendous peace of mind.

KRISTI, 46

“There is no one right answer for treating cancer, but having access to Ardynn can empower patients to make treatment decisions that reflect their own best interests.”

Member Story - Kristi
Kristi is diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer. Her doctor informs her that the standard treatment recommendation for her type of cancer is surgery, hormone treatment, and potentially radiation. She has a genetic predisposition towards forming blood clots so she is concerned about the blood clotting risk of hormone treatments. She is also anxious about potential side effects of radiation. Kristi’s Ardynn advocate helps her better understand her pathology reports and the side effects associated with each treatment option, providing much needed clarity for Kristi and confidence as she makes decisions about her treatment.

RICHARD, 60

“I was overwhelmed by conflicting information about my various treatment options. Detailed discussions with my advocate enabled me to truly understand my options and how each would impact my quality of life. I’m grateful that Ardynn was available to me.”

Member Story - Richard
Richard is diagnosed with head and neck cancer. The guideline recommendation for treatment is surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy. Upon learning that the recommended surgery would remove much of his jaw, tongue, and larynx, Richard is hesitant because it would greatly impact his eating, drinking, and speaking abilities — severely impacting his quality of life. Ardynn and the real-world data it provided helped Richard decide to pursue a treatment plan different from the guideline recommendation – a decision that brought him great peace of mind.

Diego, 62

“While I still have a hard time believing APL is happening to me, I am beyond grateful to have my Ardynn advocate to lean on. She helped bring sense to the complexities of insurance.”

Diego's Story
Diego was looking forward to a serene pre-retirement life when he was diagnosed with a rare, fast-developing blood cancer, requiring a 28-day treatment at a facility two hours from his home. This would not only be stressful and disruptive for him and his family, but would also bring numerous financial complications that would add significant focus and stress. Diego turned to Ardynn in hopes of alleviating some of this strain.

Susan, 54

“There are no words to describe the value of Ardynn’s guidance and support. We feel fortunate to have access to this service even though we are not covered through our insurance. It is a worthy out-of-pocket cost.”

Susan's Story
At 54, having battled breast cancer for seven years, Susan received devastating news — the cancer had spread to her brain and showed signs of further metastasis. She was overwhelmed, as was her family. Connecting with an Ardynn advocate helped them cope, and helped shift their perspective to focus less on her disease and more on making the most of their time together and creating joyful moments amidst the difficult ones.
