Ardynn Privacy Policy

PotentiaMetrics, Inc. operates this website (the “Site”) and its components, including Capire360 (hereinafter, the “Services”), under license from PotentiaMetrics, Inc. and its collaborators (“Ardynn,” “us,” or “we”). Ardynn’s Services may include, without limitation, tools, applications, email services, bulletin boards, message boards, chat areas, news groups, forums, communities, calendars, and downloadable mobile applications.
This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) outlines how we gather, use, disclose, and protect information collected through the Site and Services. It also provides details about how you can manage and update your information.
Definitions
- Personal Information: Information that can reasonably identify or contact a person, such as a name, photograph, address, email address, or phone number.
- Anonymous Information: Information that cannot reasonably identify an individual person.
Your Personal Information will be processed by us in the United States. Additionally, each Service may have specific privacy provisions supplemental to this Policy. These provisions will be provided at the time of data collection and will govern how your information is used.
What Information Do We Collect?
Shared Data
Some information that Members provide about themselves may be shared with the Ardynn community, Partners, and others (“Shared Data”). Examples include:
- Biographical Information: Photograph, biography, sex, age, location (city, state, and country), general notes.
- Condition/Disease Information: Diagnosis date, first symptom, family history.
- Treatment Information: Start and stop dates, dosages, side effects, evaluations.
- Symptom Information: Severity, duration.
- Test and Lab Results: PSA, HER2, cancer stage.
- Individual and Aggregated Survey Responses.
- Free Text Submissions: Forum posts, treatment evaluations, surveys, journals, feeds, adverse event reports.
- Connections: Invited care team members, mentors, subscriptions.
When a Member chooses to share Personal Information through free text fields or photos, such data will be treated as Shared Data.
Children’s Information
The Site and Services are not directed at children under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from individuals under 18. Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided Personal Information should contact us at admin@ardynn.com to request its deletion.
Restricted Data
Restricted Data is information that Members provide but is not shared with the Ardynn community or Partners. Examples include:
- Email address (collected during registration).
- Passwords.
- Private messages.
Cookies
We use cookies to enhance your experience:
- Session Cookies: Temporary cookies that expire when you log out or close your browser. These do not store Personal Information.
- Persistent Cookies: Remain longer and store preferences, like “Remember Me,” or unique tokens to analyze site usage.
How Is Your Data Used?
Shared Data
Shared Data is visible to:
- Members via “My Profile.”
- Non-members in aggregated reports.
Examples of Shared Data usage include scientific and market research. Before sharing with Partners, Ardynn removes Restricted Data to reduce the likelihood of re-identification. Member participation in surveys is voluntary, and refusal does not impact the Member’s experience on the Site.
Restricted Data
Restricted Data is used in specific scenarios, including:
- Age calculation based on date of birth.
- Public profile display when a Member selects a public privacy setting.
- Sharing contact details for media interviews, as explicitly authorized by the Member.
Other Security Issues
Ardynn employs commercially reasonable technical measures to secure Member data. However, we cannot guarantee the identity of other Members or the authenticity of data provided by them.
Risks and Benefits
Using Ardynn may:
- Improve health outcomes through tracking personal well-being, treatments, and symptoms.
- Involve risks, such as potential identification through shared information, leading to discrimination by employers or insurers.
Members can skip non-required questions or deactivate their accounts at any time. Upon deactivation, data will no longer be displayed or sold but will remain in the system for auditing and prior research purposes.
Privacy Policy Changes
We reserve the right to modify this Policy at any time without prior notice. Changes are effective immediately upon posting. Continued use of the Site or Services constitutes acceptance of the amended Policy. We encourage you to review this Policy regularly.
